Renewable resources, such as lignocellulose, offer immense and versatile potential for the production of value-added chemicals and high-performance polymeric materials. Over the years, various state-of-the-art methodologies have been developed to achieve excellent yields of diverse platform chemicals. Additionally, a series of downstream processes have emerged to obtain valuable end-products. In this lecture, I will present an overview of our recent advancements in sustainable biorefinery strategies aimed at producing well-defined chemicals and polymeric materials from lignocellulose, particularly focusing on depolymerized lignin monomers.
